Had the exact car back in the mid-80's. Bought it for 600 bucks in perfect condition as the first car for my first wife. Never had a problem with it and sold it after three years of dependable use for 1000 bucks. Luckily, Chevrolet had replaced the problematic aluminum block motor with a cast iron block in 1977, so the biggest issue with Vegas was essentially fixed. Unfortunately, it was too late and they ceased production that model year.
